Providing Care Where it is Needed
In addition to our work in Kenya, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic, CMI partners with ministries in Pakistan, India, and other parts of the world, serving people in the name of Jesus. We seek to spread God's Word by working with vetted, local, in-country ministers who preach the gospel and baptize believers in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, in many of these locations, Christians face persecution, targeted killings, mob violence, and the destruction of their places of worship.
CMI also helps during emergencies when there's no time to waste. Putting together a relief campaign takes time that victims of disasters or conflict may not have. That's why we ask you to commit to continued support so that, together, we can provide spiritual and physical help to suffering Christians, enabling them to live in the dignity of God's love and to ease their burdens through prayer, action, and giving.
Join Us in Our Ministry
Christians have been a small minority in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan since independence in 1947. Historical churches retain limited freedom but remain under heavy surveillance and occasionally suffer violent attacks, particularly those active in outreach. Pakistan’s blasphemy laws are increasingly being used to intimidate the Christian community, and accusations of blasphemy are used for settling scores, entrapment, land grabs, and keeping Christians marginalized. Weak government and the growing influence of extreme Islamist groups mean that Christians have limited protection from the law. Most Christians descend from an ‘untouchable’ caste of sweepers and continue to face institutionalized discrimination. Many live in poverty and remain trapped in bonded labor. Girls are especially at risk of forced conversion, child marriage, and illegal detention by employers. Christians with a Muslim background suffer the brunt of religious freedom violations both from radical Islamist groups (who see them as apostates) and from their families, friends, and neighbors who see conversion as a shameful act of betrayal.
CMI uses all funds at CMI's discretion, which is consistent with our corporate purposes as prescribed by law.

Many Pakistani Christians long to hear and understand God’s Word, but some have never had the opportunity to learn to read or write. CMI is helping provide Urdu Audio Bibles on MP3 so believers can listen to Scripture in their own language, grow in faith, and share the hope of Christ with their families and communities.

Pakistan Women's Ministry
CMI is expanding our work in Pakistan through a new ministry for Christian women and girls in Sahiwal.
Every other month, approximately 40 Christian women will travel to Sahiwal for Bible study, prayer, encouragement, and discipleship. These women teach girls and young women in their local churches, and they will carry CMI’s lessons back home to strengthen the next generation in God’s Word.
This ministry is also practical and urgent. Christian girls in Pakistan face real danger from abduction, forced conversion to Islam, forced marriage, sexual exploitation, and trafficking. Some families, trapped by poverty, send girls into domestic work, where isolation can leave them vulnerable and unprotected.
CMI is launching a sewing ministry to give young girls a safer path forward. By learning a practical skill in a Christian environment, girls can gain dignity, protection, and opportunity without being sent into unsafe domestic labor.
Funds are needed to help cover travel and meals for the women attending Bible study and to purchase sewing machines and supplies for the girls. Your gift helps place Scripture in their hearts, tools in their hands, and protection around their future.
