Neema Church of Christ, Kenya

Writer: CMICMI

Updated: Apr 13, 2023

One of the first church plantings CMI became involved with was in Oyugis, Kenya. Gregory Ochieng and David Ochocho lead the Neema Church of Christ. Many years ago, we sponsored them to attend the Great Commission School in Nairobi, where they graduated with a degree in Bible. A couple of years ago, CMI purchased land near Oyugis for a permanent place for the church to meet. We have fenced the grounds, added a gate for security, and built a toilet, all essential to establishing the church within the community. We are now moving to the next phase. We are adding an office/storage facility as a visible sign to the community that the Neema church is alive and well. We are also purchasing a large tent where the church will meet on their own property. In addition, we provided funds for chairs for this growing church and electricity. Plans are in the works to construct a permanent building.

Gregory and David are capable and dedicated servants of Jesus Christ. They are working towards becoming fully self-supporting. Please pray for this church and her continued growth. If you want to invest in projects like the Neema Church, please visit cmiministries.org.
